I beat all of you. One of our fd's is bone stock and ~170,xxx miles on the first engine. I'm shooting for 200,000 to set a record. I think it just goes to show you that a well taken care of fd is a pretty durable car in its stock form IMO

Motor in the car I now own was rebuilt at 38k miles. The chassis now has 64k on it. I bought it around 60k. Don't know why the engine went as it was the first owner (I'm the 3rd now).

Looks like RX7s are fairly reliable to get to 100k miles. I'm assuming guys who blow their engines early probably race it a lot or don't have reliability mods??

WOWW , I must be lucky ...130,000+ on stock motor with numerous reliability mods and some not so reliable . DP , MP, CB , PFC , intake , AVC-R , WB , J&S , 550/1300cc injectors , dataloggit , non-seq conv. , full block plates , stage3 clutch , FMIC , 3row rad , type-s BOV , lightly tuned , at 11.3 lbs. of boost , pulls like a **** !! ... I better knock on some wood now !!

95k on close to stock motor. Apex seal gave under boost. Coolant seals were already starting to go.

Bought mine with 140K miles. It's bone stock, and the previous owner rebuilt the turbos. It cranked when we got it, but now it won't even start. I think it's bad compression. Should I go for the rebuild or buy a completely new engine?
