Late December of 1998. Bought her with 27k miles on the clock, she was being stored in a heated/carpetted garage next to a 1984 911. At the last minute the guy tried to sell me the 911 for the same price ($18k)

Everybody who says this car isn't an exotic or high-end car should remember scenes like this... it USED to be considered so, until the FnF crowd got ahold of them. Such a shame. I used to see FDs in the back of Autoweek all the time right next to 911's, lotus, etc. at the high-end dealers that advertise there.

You've definately maintained it, Rich. I wish there weren't so many broke-down roach examples running around.

Aug 2002 - third owner, bought with a low compression reman. Have since self rebuilt the motor, it was down 1 1/2 yrs. Enjoyed during nice weather only! Garage stored and getting the choice car life! Mileage when purchased was 73,030 and it now has over 79,000. If life treats me well I plan on keeping this car for a long long time.

I have had it since August of 2003. Due to the distance, it was my primary means of transportation. Now that I have reloacted back to my home, it's my secondary vehicle.

Bought mine in late 1994 , was a daily-driver for almost 2 years , then the Financial Disaster began (FD) ... close to $28K in mods later and it's currently in line for an engine swap , surprisingly , only the 3rd motor so far , Hahaaa ... I got smart and bought 2 extras this past Summer for back ups , finally learned my lesson ... been non-seq for several years but , going single in the Spring , got the "Itch" again

Bought new 9/94, near stock, 90K on original engine. At the moment it's torn down to the FPD, looking for a fuel odor fix.

Bought my 93 R1 new in April 1994 (dealer leftover from previous year).
Lightly driven on the road until 2000 with occasional autox weekends.
More parking lots than public roads since.
Trailer queen since 2004.
27.5K miles total.

Apr 01 after 1.5 years of looking and countless hours of reading everything I could get my hands on...somehow I didn't stumble across the forum until I owned it for about a year. Thank goodness for lightning in a world of thunder and Rob R, also brook's website was quite helpful, but I don't know how I survived without the forum!

I've been owning mine for almost 3 years now and has been my daily driver since the beggining (although I did have a second car...just in case lol). I bought mine in March 2004 after searching for one for about 6-8months. The car really has never let me down except for the random mishaps thats part of the ownership. It has a decent amount of mods and continously grows but still puts a smile on my face whenever I drive it. I wouldn't trade it for the world.....except maybe for a BB one lol.
