DO you do that purposely or because you "feel" like you should?

Because really, i dont think our winters are any different. If its not snowing out, ill take the FD for a drive. Unless my area is caked with salty dry roads (which is the case right now ), then ill have the car sit. But i dont think its necessary to really have the car sit ALL winter.

There are ALOT of winter days where its decent. Now unless you live in a severely cold winter area, then i understand (like canada) but ohio, nah..

Hey, its supposed to shoot up to the 40s next week. Thats worth taking the car out, pending cleaner roads with no salt.

Btw, its already been 12 days since i drove the FD and it sucks. I really need to get a fun daily driver to satisfy me. lol

Tam, you should let everyone know that we tore down a perfectly good motor to give it a nice streetport.....wouldn't want all our piston-loving friends to get the wrong idea

Since it ran well? Almost 3 years. She technically will run, but not worth a crap at the moment. A pity as it's got a streetport and 99' spec turbos begging to be revved on.

My has been down for about a year and a half. Saddest thing is, the only time I got to drive it, was limping it home from the dealership. I have never even had a chance to spool the turbo. I bought it as a project. It is expensive to do things right, the first time.

I have never spoke with David, but check on his thread often. I wish I had half of the follow through he does. I think we all are excited for his build to be complete.

Dont feel bad, i think i did like 700-800 for the year 2008 lol.

I do that purposely but i didnt know it would be THAT low. This year im gonna at least try to hit 1000 miles, maybe even 1500.

11 years in May, Mark. Want to buy it? You'll never have to worry about anyone calling your car pink again.

I haven't driven mine since 2004. Cracked radiator, bought a new radiator, haven't put it in. Always had a daily driver and just bought new cars. My plan is to bring my baby back to life in 2009 (shooting for Summer).

Wow Jim...I've known about you since back in the mid 90's and your 7 saga. I can't remember you ever driving it...I might have missed that part during the years. I always hear you doing something crazy and wild to it and spending lots of money on it. I'm sure the interior and exterior has to look like brand new. I'm gonna have to search your posts for updates, because it's always interesting what your doing to it. Wish I had the money and time to spend with mine like you do yours. Good luck with the 7 Jim.

Thanks. Money yes, time and interest no. I have no intention of finishing it, ever, so I'm planning on putting it up for sale in the spring. If I can't get what I want for it, I'll hold on to it until it the economy recovers. I only want $1 for each mile on the odometer.

Yah, I knew the engine was pretty good still as when I got the car in 2005, it was really well kept. But I was working on some things on the car at the time and never had time to complete finishing the car up again. So in the process of getting some great power, it was a ticket for a streetport so I decided to let you and Ihor have some fun gutting it and adding the "new toys."

If I had to guess your motor only had about 30k miles on it, the bearings and irons are in pretty good shape.

I finished your secondary intake ports today, I'll see if I can snap some pictures for ya tomorrow

Sorry for Hijack, I also want to know who the 10+ year veterans are
