how long does it take to replace your engine?

I was just wondering, if i had to get a new engine cuz of high mileage, would i have to put my rx-7 in the shop for a day, week month?

If the shop is doing it for you, it shouldn't take long. The part that takes long is waiting for your turn.

I've pulled mine,rebuilt it and installed it again in 3 days.

If you are expecting someone else to do it then expect it to be down for months.

Yep, as Resource says, it depends on the shop. Some people have seen turn arounds from shops as soon as 2-3 weeks. Most others, like myself, saw turn arounds of months.

Your best bet is to get some help from your local RX-7 club and do the R&R yourself with friends. Saves on cash and you can also learn a lot.

yeah, i've been looking around and callin around for shops lately, most are out of the city, what does r&r mean btw. Good thing i found the regional forum, i probably could get alot of help from there around my area.

R&R = Remove and Replace (or Re-Install)
