how long does it take to remove the turbos?

I'm considering removing my turbos and looking at the condition as well as porting the wastegates......

but how long does it take to take off, roughly... I realize it takes people different amounts of time.... but about how long did it take you?

If its your first time doing it, I would give yourself about 4 hours.

4-5 hours the 1st time sounds about average.

I would suggest that you take off the Y pipe and Down pipe the night before you plan on taking off the turbos. Soke the turbo bolts in LOTS and LOTS of WD40 / liquid wrench overnight. It will make getting the those turbos off the next morning much eaiser - you will be thankfull you did.

4-5 hours is about right for getting the turbos off.

I agree.....about 4-5 hours if it is your first time. I can have mine off now in about an hour, but that was after doing it a few times and putting anti-seize on the studs.

Note: if the turbos have been in place for a while, you can easily drop $100+ dollars on new hardware & gaskets to R&R them.
