Although I haven't installed a BOV myself yet, I believe the easiest way to install an aftermarket Blow off valve would to buy an aftermarket Intake elbow and mount it to that. Then run a vacuum hose from the Blow off valve to the Upper intake manifold. Since there are more important things to do before installing an aftermarket BOV I would think about investing that money into something a little more worth while. You can use that 300-400 dollars you save from the BOV install, and put it towards a Downpipe or something that will increase reliability and performance. In my opinion it would be better to just vent the stock Blow off valve and spend that extra money on something else.

It depends on the valve you purchased. If you purchased one with a "kit" for the FD, then you simply undo the stock BOV and install the new on in it's place.

If you go a universal BOV, you'll have to find some place to have it mounted. If that's the case, do a search here in the forum for "mount BOV" and you'll find many ideas for mounting locations.
