Ok, just received my new Ganador special limited edition cabon fiber electric aero mirros with blue lens and the instructions and even the pictrues are in japanese. As I've learned the hard way many times, nothing is a simple as you first think. So before I take the door apart and leave in peices on the floor I thought i'd ask for help. Does anyone have any tips, pictures, advice, anything?

Just go for it. I'm not sure if they cover the stock mounting location so you might need some body work done. Jason of JT-Imports had those lights:

Yes they cover the stock mirror location. Cant really explain them, but I thought the install looked pretty straight forward..

I believe there is only one mounting screw and it goes threw the stock location and them tighten and presto.

 

dont know wat to say. honestly it should be really simple and straightforward. just go for it! they look sweeet too! get some pics up when they in!

 

Sweet, i'll try to mount them this weekend (thanks Jason). Assuming the door panel isn't a problem to remove. My single turbo is ready. My car shure will look pretty sitting in my garage all assembled with no money left for gas. D'oh!

^ yeah, CRX gets 40mph which is why I still have it. Although not as nice as the JDM SiR's.

Jason - How did you get to the screws and nuts on the inside of the door? Did you have to remove the Bose speaker box and reach in blindly and find it by touchy feely? ...er, and why does it say for Japan only? I didn't notice one mirror magnified. I don't think it's real carbon. The RX8 version is real carbon, bastards.

 

We took the door panel off for the nuts. I didnt have any BOSE system, so I cant help there.

Japan only, I never saw that. There was no magnification on either mirror for the ganadors, mine just had the little bit of a blue tint.

 

^ So you shoved your hand up through the speaker hole on the door? That's what it looks like on the instructions. Did it take two people? Yeah, I have to pull the Bose box out for the hole (I didn't realize it goes in deep and is a pia to get out). Did you use any silicone or loctite?

 

Go Racer, tell me how these things install. I have a pair that I'll be installing in couple of months.
