HOW TO: fix sagging door jam moldings

i recently bought another fd and found it to be really aggravating that the door jam molding would keep sagging on the top and would shift with the opening and closing of the door and i would have to push it back on just to have it fall off again. well, i was about to replace it thinking that the rubber went bad or something and noticed something interesting. there is actually a metal band inside the molding and it makes it pliable.

so if this part here sags on your car or doesnt sit right.......

pull it off and look at the gap.....

squeeze it and watch the gap go away......

when you put the molding back on it will be snuggest fit ever and you will hear snap or click into place. you wont have the sagging problem again. even if your molding is fine, pull it off anyway and re-squeeze it. this only takes ~10 min to both sides.

That is awesome! I love simple tricks like this!

10 minutes is generous, more like 1 minute.

Thanks!
