I'm starting the slow process (anyone wanna help? hehe) of putting my engine back in, and want to do everything right. I've bought most of the stuff that everyone says I should buy.

Here are 2 the no one mentioned, and I'm just curious about.

1.) plug wires
2.) water pump

Is there any way to tell whether they are still good before I put it in my car? I dont know the milage on the parts because they've been on the car since I purcahsed it.
