how do you replace the hose going to the FPR
hello chaps..i have got the rats nest out of the fd but i have run into a problem when re-installing the solenoid rack..i cant get to the few pipes by the fuel pressure regulator (about3 pipes total) i have got them off the nipples but cannot get the new silicone ones on there..there is just NO room to manovere and the silicone is too bendy and slightly smaller than the nipples..The only other way i can think of is to take all the injector **** off and i dont really want to do that cus the fuel system is still under pressure and i cant de-pressurize without starting the engine, unless i cut a fuel line and let the fuel **** out over the painwork.
also i have read rumors that the fuel pressure regulator tends to leak so may as well be replaced being as i have got this far..any1 back me up on this??
i have attached this pic but it aint mine..i have just used someone elses to make sure you know what i mean.

if your FPD is original i would suggest putting in a new one. i've never had trouble de-pressurizing the fuel system by just taking off the fuel cap. if you don't want to do that you might try reaching the FPR nipple from underneath the car...it helps to have long skinny arms! if you do take out the injectors make sure all the insulators are re-used (if still in good shape) and installed correctly. good luck.

Don't replace fuel lines with silicone hoses. Silicone is not resistant to petroleum-based chemicals. If the fuel lines really need replacing, then take a sample to an auto parts store and get a few feet of it.
If you are talking about the vacuum nipple under the FPR, then you can try alwan16's advice. I was able to get it on from above using some needle-nosed pliers.
