How do you remove the side view mirror?

The factory service manual is useless. I took the door panel off but it appear that the mirror is attached by screws that go from the outside into the door. But how do you access these screws? O Wise forum members, please Help!

Turn the mirror itself. There's 2 screws under it that you get from the top. I think that's what you are talking about. I have to retighten mine every now and then.

Thanks! That worked great. I feel like such an idiot... for about a year I've been bugged by a loose side mirror but I was always putting off fixing it cause I hate taking off door panels. Turns out I didn't have to and it takes about 5 seconds to turn the mirror and tightn the screws! Now I have to put the door panel back on and I've probably broken tabs and it will rattle... sigh...

At least you did better than one guy I knew. He took a drywall screw and screwed it into the mirror ghetto-style to stop the rattling! I showed him how to fix it and he about fell out .
