how do you remove the rad fans from the motors?

today i was getting some parts ready to ship and when i went to get the radiator fan motors off i couldn't get the fan blade assembly off the motors. i can't figure out how to get them off. i didn't wanna damage the motors or anything so i figured i'd get some advice before i damaged anything. can someone please let me know how to get these off.

Take off the litte nut and spray a little penetrant oil on and wait a few minutes. Next rock the fan blade back and forth while gently pulling up.

i took the nuts off both fan blade assemblies and sprayed them with some wd40 before first began taking them apart. i don't guess i was pulling enough because tonite one of the fan blade assemblies came off. as for the other one, the blades were hacked off by the previous owner so i ended up using a pulley puller i've got laying around and got it off without any damage. it was really on there tho. i guess 20 years of spinning, sitting, heating, cooling, wet, and dry will cause things to be alittle stubborn.

thanks for the info.

and WD40 is not a penetrating oil at all.
