how do you know if a fan relay is bad?

Well how do you?

Im not sure if thats my problem but want to make sure.

The problem is that only one fan comes on.

The FD fans work in unison, not separately. It's far more likely that the fan motor has burned out or the wiring leading to it has a ground fault somewhere.

you can apply voltage (12v) to terminals A and B of the relay and then apply an ohmeter to C and D and verify that is 0. When you apply the voltage, you should here a click.

thanks for the help. I got new/used fans just thought there might be a quick fix so I could drive my car sooner.
