How do work out your suspension drop?

Hi,

This may seem like a stupid question, but I have tryed searching. How do you find out how much your suspension has been droped? Where is best to measure to be accurate?

I tryed to my measure the gap between my fender lip and my tire but it is pointless because there is no gap really. Its so low the tire actually goes under the fender lip.

Thanks

I use the engine sub-frame and the ground, because fenders can be bent. I'm currently at 3 1/2". I think stock is around 4 1/2" to 5".

You shouldn't use fender to ground because it won't be consistent between different tires. I use the center of the wheel to the fender lip.

If I wasn't too lazy, I'd use David Beale's method

Sear on ride height. Bunch of good links. To summarize, some people say to measure from the center of the wheel to the fender. Should be something like 12-13" or so. I like to measure from the ground to the fender lip as that measurement is more relevant for me. I'm at 25-25.5" all around. Don't think I can go any lower w/o it scraping over everything.
