How do I know if my motor/turbos are original?

How can I tell if my motor or turbos have ever been replaced? I believe the motor is original but don't know that for a fact and would like to find out if possible.

Are there casting numbers I could look for? Thanks.

Does it really matter..not like that have matching numbers like a classic muscle car...Just hope you have a strong motor.. One hint is that sometimes reman have been painted silver..

look at your oilpan, it's 'glued' on from factory

It also better be glued on any other motor, too.

One of the easier ways to tell is to look under the car and find the two motor mounts. Check the nuts and see if it looks like they've ever been removed. Unlike a lot of motors, the motor mounts have to come out and go in with the FD's motor.

man motors have a little tag on them on the front cover. most rebuilds will be painted too. another clue is the silicon sealer, mazda is grey, mana somtimes uses red.
there are casting #'s on the motor but they are the same for all of the 13b-rew's
