dude, either use vice grips and back the screws *** out that way, or else take off the whole bracket from the ignition coil side. those are the most logical ways to do it.

i was successful in pulling the stripped screws from the rack with the vice grips method, but i can see why some people prefer to pull off the entire bracketry.

you probably dont want to drill the screws out because:
first off, there is like no room to get a drill straight against the back screws facing the firewall.
and second there are so many fuel and water lines that would ****-block you from the screws, and this would keep you from finishing your job without a whole grip of trouble.
third, there is a good chance that you will drill a hole into your solenoids, the fuel pressure reg solenoid in particular.

id recommend not drilling the screws out. use vice grips or take off the whole bracket.

i am having a lot of problems with my hose job as well, and i know how frustrated you can get doing something this complicated.
but if you are going to ask for advice, you have to take it when it is given to you. if you keep asking the same questions over and over again, people wont want to help you out when you run into more problems. there is some good helpful **** posted in some of your other posts.

good luck, now get back down there and try it again.

I ended up using a flex head dremel tool and then drilled mine out. I originally tried to use the Craftsman Easy-Out (lieka drill bit that grabs the head and turns it counter-clockwise) but it didn't work to well. I decided to replace the screws with allen heads as well, much easier for future removals.

I had the same problem that you did and i heard about the turbo simplifacation and i'm doing that and pretty much it makes the vacuum hoes job alot easier and solves alot of the problems i was having.
