how dissapointing...

Well I took the FD out tonight and did two 3rd gear pulls to ~90mph. Primary boosts jumps to 12psi drops for the transtion and jumps back up to 13psi. I'm only running the intake and dp. So I'm like woa this is great. Then I realize that cant have anymore fun because I'm on a stock ecu. Booo. Arggg, now I have to wait to get a Pettit Unlimited before I can make use of the power.
Oh well I'll be driving around with a light foot for a while.

At least you didn't blow it up with intake and downpipe at 13psi....that is what I consider disappointing

I would'nt trust my own foot. Make a manual boost controller. Costs like 5 bucks and takes about ten minutes to make. Works like a charm. Your gonna need it anyways.

You arent lucky, engines dont pop THAT easy no matter the bad rep our cars get. I am surprised though that your stock ECU let you hit that high of psi without hitting a fuel cut. I have accidently run my car to 18psi on my Pettit ECU with alot of other mods when I first got my electric boost controller and it didnt do a thing to the engine. Everyone likes to over worry people I think in this forum. Just my opinion.

My boost when cold always spikes to 15 psi on pettit ecu. But nothing happen though. But when engine is completely warmed up, 12-13 psi no problem.
