How to Determine Injector Size Q’s…

My buddy’s car had an F-CON in it and he just replaced it with a PFC. The thing is we don’t know what size injectors he had up top. After taking a good hard look at them (while in the stock fuel rail) I noticed that they were spliced in. So I think he could have something other then 850s in there. Plus the car was fast as hell with the old F-CON and had above stock HP levels. The primaries are 550s, I’m pretty sure of that.

Is there any way to determine the injector size without pulling them out of the rail and getting them flow tested?

We are also going to pull his fuel pump to see what he has there.

Thanks

Joe

If you can read a part number an manufactuer you can contact them and they can tell you what size they are. Other wise flow test, not a bad Idea to have them cleaned any way.

Joe,

If you do pull the injectors send them off to WitchHunter. Great place to get cleaned and flow tested. Had all mine done for $70 after shipping.

I would start with the part number as mentioned above first though

If the secondaries are aftermarket, they are almost certainly the Bosch 1600cc injectors. If not, check for a marking -- RC Engineering etches the bored-out size on all the injectors they do.

Thanks Guys!

We'll be under his manifold real soon to replace some vacuum lines and possibly eliminate some things so I'll take a better look then.

But if we have to pull them that won't be soo bad either. I've heard very good things about WitchHunter and would like my secondaries cleaned and flow tested also.

Thanks,
Joe
