Saw FD on ebay. Called guy and structured deal over phone (14K for a 94 FD, 67K miles). Had it checked out at Mazda (had no choice- since I lived 260 miles away and didn't know anyone local that was a good mechanic). Compression came back great (all 8.0's, give or take about .1), and service manager told me how clean/cherry the interior/exterior was. Jumped on a plane ($59), guy picked me up at airport, drove my girlie back home.

I drove with a friend from Colorado Springs to Houston to test drive one. That is about 1300 miles each way, you don't know the meaning of the word boring until you drive all the way across Texas! The one I ended up buying was in Denver so about 100 miles each way.

near montreal

Bought it from Chambly mazda (near montreal)
about 150 miles from home. Tested the car
and found a boost leek but nothing more.
the car was 95 touring with only 14k miles.

So i let my old car to the dealer and drove to
home. What a ride that was!

I drove to alabama from PA, haha. 12 hours one way. It had 110k on the body, but everything inportant had 30k and for only $10,000!! The ride back was so much fun. The best feeling was pulling back onto the local roads and knowing that I'd be driving my car on them everyday.
