How to COMPLETELY REMOVE the factory alarm??
Hi guys.
Ok I've done my search, I've read pretty much every post related to this issue and I still can't find a definitive solution to REMOVE the factory alarm for an FD, some people said to tap or ground on a brown/white wire, other said yellow/brown wire, other suggested to just leave it alone, others that alarms are a waste of time and money... I mean seriously very few have really mentioned a real and detailed solution for this.
I don't want to wire the wireless key to the factory alarm, I don't want to fool the alarm so it doesn't arm. I want to remove it, make it stop completely, I don't want it to go off never ever again!!!! Lol....
If there's no way to this I would go to the "grounding the hood cable" option, but can somebody be more specific at how to ground it?? Should I just cut the cable that goes into the latch's pin and connect it to the car's body??
Thanks!!

The alarm cannot be removed because it is contained in CPU #2 which also contains other functions.
You can ground the hood circuit by removing the connector at the latch and jumping it.
However, I am not sure why you want to disable the alarm. If it is activating intermittently you should probably find the source of the problem.

some have disconnected two connectors on CPU #2 (i think they're a 20pin and 8pin white connectors) in efforts to disable the alarm, but in doing this you loose the feature of the passenger door locking and unlocking with the drivers door. as well as a bunch of other "body control features" like seat belt warnings, key lighting and a few others.
like moconnor says, if you're having issues with the factory alarm other then competing with an aftermarket, you should find out whats going on.
if the problem your having is the two alarms fighting each other then just ground out the hood or hatch sensor which will prevent the factory alarm from turning on...
