I noticed the lamp has clips on the top and bottom, I popped them off and tried to remove the lens but no luck, it's sealed on there. do I have to tear the whole lamp unit out of the car to replace a burned out headlight? Are these sealed beams, or can I get them apart and just replace the filement (bulb)?

 

Unscrew the headlight cover and take it off (obvisously with the lights down). Then, unplug the bulb from the back. Then you'll need to twist the bulb and pull it out from the back.
