Hot wheels Cause of Pad?
Hey hey all igot my car running without a problem after i bleed the system a different way, and that fixed the idle too. I must say dave at kds is a great guy, he spent alot of time on the phone with me for my little problem. WIthout him i would still be looking for a answer, even tho roatry really did try to help, and i still apreciate that from yab .But the brake pads i think are rubbing, cause the wheels are really hot and i smell brakes. They are not stock and they are brand new. should they rub like that when you first put them on. When i push the clutch in i can fell the car drag so i think this is my problem. It wants to stop on its own. I really have no clue were to begin to look for my problem and ohh my ebrake dosent work!!!! If you know what to do help me out cause i wanna drive it tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Marc

is it the rear wheels?
My e-brake lever mechanism on my rear passenger caliper was worn out and froze in the on position one time. all kinds of nasty smoke. I had to get a new caliper, but it works fine now. with the e-brake lever off, reach around to the rear of your wheel and check to see if the cable going to the mechanism has EXCESS slack. it should still have a little bit of tension even when the e-brake lever is off.
if it is the front wheels, you may have a stuck piston. rebuild or replace the faulty caliper. (better to replace it)

Ok, rear pads have a "dimple" on them. The dimple lines up with a couple slots on the rear caliper piston. Make sure yours are lined up or the brakes will be on all the time.
If that isn't it check your ebrake cables to make sure they move freely like ISUposs mentioned.
If that still isn't it you might have a stuck piston, rebuild caliper(s).
