Hot start issue part 2

Ok I need to replace the harness going to the starter cause when the car is warmed up it won't crank over but you can jump across the starterwith a screwdriver and it will turn over. The harness is 100 bucks. I want to run a jumper from the wire under the dash thats hot when your turn the key to the crank position and run it dtraight down to the starter bypassing the relay/safety switch and harness. What pin on the starter do I hook it to? The flat one in the middle or one of the round pins on either side. Anyone have a better idea?
