Hose Routing Question

I recently changed my belts and meanwhile cleaned what i could in the engine bay. I took out the intercooler with all its piping, air filter box and also the battery. I have put everything back together and found that i had an extra hose left over. Im wondering if it somehow goes on the side of the air box. Thats the only place it looks like it would go, but doesnt seem to line up. It has a rubber fitting on one side and on the other is a hard plastic connector with a notch in it. Anyone know where this hose goes. I have marked where i think it might go, but dont know if thats an open port to the air box. Thanks a million!

that is part of the smog pump muffler, it comes out of the driver's side of the airbox and wraps down that side and hides the end just underneath of the airbox, it can hang, there is no real mounting for it. generally that hose is one piece rubber though, i've yet to see one with that plastic adapter length on it.

Thank you sir! So it does connect to that opening on the air box in the picture and just dangles down below?

yep, the rubber end plugs onto the airbox and the plastic end dangles just underneath the airbox. there is a steel strap on the crossmember support but no one uses it, never even seen it used to retain that hose so i'm not even sure that is what it is for but it is the only thing even remotely in that area that the bottom end of the hose can be hooked to anything. i just let them hang, it will be fine.
