hey so i just finished installing the silicone hose kit from hose techniques, took me about 2 days, first time its ever been done. i put everything back together and started up just fine, but after doing a quick drive it makes a weird ringing type sound, sounds almost as if its coming from underneath the intake manifold, has anyone encounterd this problem?

 

check all the clamps that it is not hitting anything...

 

checked, it makes that sound after driving and then idle after driving. its like a pinging noise

 

make sure you don't have any hose clamps down the shoot of the turbos.

 

nope when i did the hose kit i made sure to plug every opening wit rags, and its not the sound u get from metal shaking against something, it almost sounds electrical.

 

sound more like a whistling noise? vacuum leak?

 

no, def not a vacuum leak, its like a ringing noise, a light sharp tone which u can def hear after driving, and i cant figure it out at all, im gonna take off the intake manifold and double check everything, its just really odd. i also installed the fuel recall kit while i did the hose kit, and changed some fuel hoses. the sound is def coming from the left side of the side of the fuel rail.
