Hood Dampner Adjustments?

We bought some Skokie hood dampners a while back and just installed them today. Great being able to open the hood without the prop and more room to work too. Problem is, I can see the dampner when the hood is closed. So I'm curious if anyone has adjusted these to not be visible. Ours are chrome and black and the chrome definitely shows through. Might just be that we haven't adjusted them right.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have them as well. I've tried to adjust them but I can still see them when the hood is closed. Good luck.

Has Anyone Adjusted these?

Has anyone played with hood dampners and successfully gotten them to not be visible when the hood is closed?

thanks

You can't adjust the positioning on these (short of changing mounting points). Paint 'em black if you don't want to see them.
