Unhappy Hood cable broke, what should I do?

Well today when I pulled the hook latch the cable just snapped and my hood diddnt open. Can I fix this my self or should I take it to a professional? Has this happened to any one else?

Where did the cable snap at? Can you still grab it from inside the cabin compartment? If you get the hood open it is a really easy job to replace the cable. Just need to get it open.

dood i had this happen to me 2 weeks ago do wat rynberg said and you'll be fine. i bought a replacement line for about $20 its an extremely easy job.
