first i made a template

used some fiberglass to make the upper and lower parts of the duct and made some side plates out of thin sheet metal

You'd be surprised how much less heat comes out of some single turbos verses the stock twins.

Im am suprised because I have a single turbo with a PFs Large Race IC . I was just saying that because the IC look pretty dam think and hte plastic end tanks could be prone to cracking .

Dont get me wrong I love LARGE smic's with single setup...I would just invest in a better IC.

BTW the duct looks GREATT

His end tanks are aluminum. You can see the welds for the upper outlet pipe and the mount for the AST. If his intake temps are in check, then the IC is fine. He'll just have to verify his intake temps to make sure they are good to go.

A lot of people used to run single turbos off the Greddy SMIC back in the day. You don't always need or want the largest IC you can fit in the car.

Haha, i noticed it now that you pointed it out . I jumped the gun on that one. Today i still see alot of people running the greddy smic with single setups but i see more and more ASP, PFS, M2 Large race ic's..
