Holy Jesus, Mazda Parts Are Expensive!!

Hood Liner - $169.73 (This is close to what I expected)

Cowling (sp.) for front grille vents - $261.03

OMG! For two little freakin' plastic grilles?!!!

Anyone have any idea where I could get either of these things away from a dealership's parts division?

I'll fabricate my own goddam vents for going on $300 after tax.

Mazda will ask you to come in *** FIRST. Dont buy from them unless you have too. Search the net or buy used. There are lower prices. Email mazdaformance. They usually have it a little cheaper than Mazda will.

i took my car in there when i first got it. they told me that my engine was bad and it was gonna cost me .................................................$ 16,500.00 to fix. he told me that he had to return it to stock form in order for him to be able to release it back to me. . . once they start working on it. i told him i didnt want them to work on my car anyways. . . all i wanted was a comp. check.

Mazdaformance is actually the websales dept. at JEFF HASS MAZDA in TEXAS they are one of the few MAZDA dealers that never lost the ROTARY SPIRIT and won't GOUGE you for MAZDA OEM parts.
I have ordered stuff from them on several ocassions and have always had great service - even if the do insist an always sending me SILVER ZOOM-ZOOM stickers that are almost completly useless on my SILVER fd
BTW- has anybody got a BLACK one the can send me?

Just in case it matters to you, some people (if not just me) are offended by the casual use of the name of Jesus. But I do believe that if Jesus was living in body on this earth today, He would drive an RX-7!

Not the right forum for this, but ------ why is it that, although freakin' is more popular and acceptable than Jesus, we feel free to use the name of Jesus but not the real name for freakin'? Don't get me wrong, I think freakin' is better than driving my 7 (it's not modified!).

For the grills post something in the parts for sale section that you're looking for them. Or look for those people parting out FD's. I am sure someone might have some. 261.00 is a rip off..

I second Maxpesce. I've been real impressed with Mazdaformance for both price and service.

haha! $16.5???what they were probably gonna do is take your car and buy you a different one!

that follows though. i asked a mazda service rep about one sitting outside...he said, and i quote "you have to be a rocket scientist to afford the maintenance".
yeah you do...if you go to mazda!

MAZDA IS DISGUSTING TO ITS CAR OWNERS!!

They are pathetic too.. Parts ( if available) should not be @ least 1% of the vehicles price...

yeah mazda parts are expensive. mazdaformance.com parts prices are decent but you'll get even better prices from mazdamotorsports.com if you are a member. it make prices on parts actually bearable. you basically get 30-40% off all list prices and they ship it unbelievably fast. you gotta be a member though

Yeah, MMS is where I'm getting a couple of things, but they don't carry many of the original stock parts. Spoke with 'em yesterday and they don't carry the hood liner.

I'll check back on the grilles though.

Thanks again!

You nailed it. Chromalusion - True Blasberry. Expensive, but well worth it .

Yeah, that's almost as big a rip-off as:

new carpeting: $1200 - Gmonsen got Mercedes quality carpeting custom made for $900-$1000

oil metering pump: $1400 - covered by warranty, I bet my warranty company loved that one!
