Exclamation Holly crap, NO F'n "brakes" ...WTF?

Damn, put the precat back on and started the car. It runs like **** without the O2 sensor but had to deal with it. I pulled out of the garage to the corner and no freakin breaks!

The brake pedal is extremely stiff and barely moves down maybe 1/2" and only slows the car but does not stop it.

Check your emergency brake cable(s). You may have it pinched, kinked, or stressed when you installed the DP.

Sounds like you pulled the Booster Vac hose loose or Kinked it and you are not getting any vacuum at the booster.

I can't find my manual link. Can someone post a link, pics or directions. Is it possible to have lost pressure just from having the front end up on stands all day? The master cyclinder is on the other side of the engine. I don't know what hose I could have messed with.

Check the black hose near the firewall on the passenger side, it connects onto the UIM.. you may have pulled that out of the way for some more room when you did the DP.. just a guess.

Rob,

I am 100 % sure that I told you that I unplugged the vacuum connection to the booster and that it should be plugged back before driving. Sorry if I didn't make that clear.

Thanks Matt

You probably did Mr Stock but that was like a week ago and I didn't remember. I didn't see it disconected when I double checked the engine bay either.

Rob:

Sorry I missed your call man, I was out at a job site and I still had my cell phone stuffed inside my jacket when I got back to the office. I could barely hear it ringing, and of course I never got it out of the jacket in time.. never seem to be able for some reason. Glad you got it fixed though!
