Angry Hold light madness!

(Hold light flashing + no start)

I KNOW I stumbled across this, at one point, but now can't seem to freaking find it...

Where in the heck is the 'Hold' light error list, in the FSM? I'm looking at it, as I type and the page (K-34 of the FSM, 571, in the PDF) shoes the indicator and checking, but the error list to decode the little flashes is AWOL.

Which manual are you looking in? I have a '94 PDF and the codes start listing on page K-217. The diagnosis part starts on K-214 in the '94 manual.

THAT's what I was looking for! Well... The actual link, but the end result's the same.

Yup.. Got the same PDF as you. Wasn't sure where it actually WAS...

K-217 (in the FSM) is page 754 in Adobe.

Damned 'Hold' light error code '58,' - Barometric Absolute Pressure Sensor.

Hopefully I can get this crap sorted out; soon as I can figure out the nouns, in the case (who, what, why, when, where and HOW.

Any help, here?

'Preesh, bro.

LOL. I love it.... It reads like one of those old-***, "Choose Your Own Adventure' books, from the early '80s:

K-217 > K-226 > K-35

Good old, "If > Then > Do."

Barometric Absolute Pressure Sensor.
weird... isn't that built into the factory ECU? the main computer for the engine?

Looking at the FSM, it says it's related the trans, though it's actually ATTACHED (mounted) to the engine's PCM, driver's side, right panel, adjoining the center console...

Sooo.... The wiring from one box, to the other - all of what? 4in? - is faulty? Hopefully just got snagged while I was doing the tear-down.

" 58 - Barometric Absolute Pressure Sensor - Open or a short circuit of B.A.P sensor wiring - Wiring from PCM (Engine) to PCM (transmission) -*- Powertrain control module (engine) - Memorized (yes) - Goto > K-226 "

This guy apparently had the same problem:

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...BSensor&page=2

You might ping him to see what he did to fix his issues.

Ha-HA!!!! And there it is, like Mahjik (ba-dum-dum!). That's the thread I was looking for, originally, but kind of had the car in reverse (final solution before the full diagnosis).

Since I'd already pulled the code, all I needed was the definition and such, which I knew I could get from this thread.

No.... How to actually SOLVE said problem!
