HKS valve inserts

This is definitely going to be one of the most ricey of my posts, just to let you guys know in advance. I recently tried installing the Low pitch valve (purple fin) insert into the front of my HKS ssqv... I can barely hear it. Its strange. With the high pitch one(standard chrome finish), the thing is way loud, and I was hoping that i could tone it down a bit using the low pitch one. Well, it turns out that the low pitch one doesn't make any noise. I can hear it if I pop the hood, but if Im driving, it's quieter than the stock one vented. Is there a way to modify the insert to make it a bit louder? I want something right inbetween. I want to remove that high pitch whistle, and just get a good low swoosh without having to go buy a blitz valve or something.

"so, why do you care?" I don't know. Its fun to play around with. I know most of this effort absolutely worthless in the first place, but I thought I'd just mess around with ideas of modifying this stupid little piece of plastic to get a desired result.

ya. but the stock one went bad. The stock one started to suck once I got the motor streetported. I had the stock one open for a good while, then it started to leak too much.
