HKS Twin Power or MSD

Topic says it all, looking for an ignition amp. I heard the MSD puts out better performance but the HKS is easier on the coils. Not to mention the MSD is priced better.

i'm pretty sure that with the msd you have to get upgraded coils and you have to do some splicing. with the hks you just plug it right in.

Im pretty sure that the hks twin power is the best ignition amp for imports. You cant go wrong with it. Also if you decide for some reason to sell it, it is still demanding near new prices.

MSD is not at all impressive on my car. Causes me to miss spark sometimes and added no power at all any where in the power band. Was at KDR yesterday talkin to skip about it and he agreed that the msd doesnt work....atleast on rotarys. He said that Abel Ibarra (sorry if spelled wrong) had same problem with the regular out of the box MSDs. Skip claimed that one car gained 18 hp just by bolting on the HKS and everyone he has installed saw atleast 10hp improvement (numbers may be off by a litlle but you get the point). My friend had an extra MSD and was bored so he put it in my car, not worth his time and tommorrow I plan on takin it out and givin it back to him. Just my opinion..... oh and what I was told.

Bob

PS. I am looking into an HKS myself, obviously.
