IIRC, the light is supposed to be green, you may have a bad unit.

Un-plug the TP and put back to stock and see if it starts.

The light on mine was red when i plugged it in......hmmmmmmmm not to start a war on anything but is yours an older model?

maybe you need new plugs? what kind of issues were you having that you decided you needed a twin power anyway?

This may or may not be safe. Never did it with the FD, but I have done it with small engines like motorcycles, lawnmowers, etc. Pull the plug. Put the boot on. Hold the electrode near something metal and see if you can see a spark while the engine turns over. At any rate you can check your plugs to see if they're wet, which would indicate that you are flooded.

I must have been incorrect. I put IIRC because I couldn't remember exactly. Sorry for the incorrect info.
