Just bought one a few weeks ago, but it's sitting in my garage waiting for my Pettit ECU to arrive...

I should have it on in a few days, and it will be run with s.s. downpipe and midpipe - I'll let you know how it sounds then.....

Actually I'm thinking of selling it.... I don't really like the looks of it, even just sitting there...

Don't get me wrong - it's alright, just not my taste really. The tip is about 5" dia. with "HKS" engraved on either side... Then there's the big shiny coffee can....

Hmmmmm...... If anyone has a new to ***slightly*** used Blitz Nur Spec, I'd probably trade..

The HKS Hiper is on my car and the quality and fittiment are unmatched by anything that is competitive with its price. It sounds very nice, but for those of you who aren't into the full functional design of exhausts designed for minimal backpressure, you may want to reconsider what ideas you have in mind for performance. The "coffee can" muffler comes from the design of a high performance motorcycle exhaust. There is nothing wrong with having a big can on it, or a slight angle on the exit of the tip from underneath the car. Its only there because the system was designed with its piping as straight as possible (stock system has an S bend in it). The HKS is very similar to the N1, and the only difference I have noticed is that the HKS tends to have a larger diameter tip and can than the A'PEXi. But there is also a price difference between the two. The Blitz is not an upgrade from the HKS. It is still another "coffee can" exhaust. If you want a smaller can, go with RS-R.

The Blitz has more of a "bullet" shaped can. The ends are tapered, whereas the HKS has very sharp edges, like the can of Foldgers sitting in my pantry.. : )

There is not much difference in piping design for either - both are fairly straight. I believe the blitz is a slight upgrade of the HKS for two reasons:

1) blitz has full S.S. construction, HKS has mild steel piping.

2) blitz = 80mm piping
HKS = 75mm piping
