HKS 6 Speed Dogbox
Hey I've done a search and have had issues finding the information I'm looking for.
I'm importing a car from Japan(I'm in Canada) and one of the ones I'm looking at has a 6 Speed HKS Dogbox. From what I've heard and read these do require a overhaul everyone in a while yet I cant find any info onto what this rebuild actually requires and how often it has to be done.
I don't have a part number and I dont know if this is the sequential version or the regular H pattern.
Ive tried searching HKS USA and cant find any info on there and HKS Japan is extremely hard to navigate for me.
Any help would be appreciated thanks.

In the HKS Japan site, it says that for the GT-R H pattern tranny it requires it to be rebuild every 3000 km.
The only way you are going to find out for sure is to get a part number and call HKS.

"HKS 6 Speed Dogbox"
RUN
as fast as you can.
unless:
the car is never street driven
you already have extensive (positive) experience driving a car with NO synchronizers
you enjoy working on transmissions monthly
you don't mind spending $3000-4000 each time
you have confidence you can actually buy the replacement parts

Should find http://www.holinger.com.au/index.php made the box for HKS, if you can't get bits easily locally and Japanese isn't your forte.
Usually worth around au10k and up, in H pattern second-hand if you want to ship it here!
