Hissing sound from A/C???

Hissing sound from A/C???
Hey all,
When I turn on my A/C, it makes a hissing sound for a few seconds. This repeats every few minutes. Is this normal? I never hear it on other cars. Oh, the A/C works great otherwise btw.

Come on people! I know you all use A/C, does it hiss or not? The hissing is very distinct, seperate from the whoosing of the A/C itself, and this sound is intermittent. *bump*
