Highest RWHP on BNR stage IIIs???

In sequential mode preferably, however, I am interested in seeing Non-seq numbers also.

It is finally time to get around to my personal rx7.

I am familiar with goodfellas car and some other Non-seq but has anyone made over 420 in seq mode?

He's asking sequential, not non-seq.

It should be possible to make about 400 rwhp at 17-18 psi, with a streetport and other optimizing mods. I hit 345 with ignition breakup at 13-13.5 psi.

No, if you are really need that much, you should be looking at a single turbo.

The highest I've seen in recent years was around 380rwhp. Two people were around that number in sequential mode:

1. artguy with the M2 BB twin upgrade
2. kwikrx7 using 1st generation BNR Stage II turbos

Correct, but I know enough not to expect 420 rwhp.

I'm going to go for 380 with a big streetport, scaloped rotors, and BNR's pushing through a high flow CAT.

Unless you run water injection/race gas, I don't see it happening, at least not sequential.

I heard of someone making a little over 400rwhp in Seq mode but it was word of mouth. Didnt personally see it, but figured it wasnt that far fetched. I thought Bryan said those turbos would actually be ok at about 18-19psi. I have driven about every mainstream single turbo kit on the market and some of the custom setups, nothing compares to the sequential setup.

Maybe I am being optimistic but I figured 400+ was possible with the BNRs.

Keep in mind I will be pushing the twins to the limit, my car will not be a DD and Im really not too concerned with being conservative, I just want it to be an all around fun car when I get behind the wheel.

water injection and 91, if I actually only hit 360 then I will be happy.

I do think its possible with a big street port and scallops.

They are, but you shouldn't run that much boost on pump gas.

That will be very difficult to achieve with a cat.

Phil, if you run 16+, you should definitely hit over 360 rwhp with sequential.

I have never personally seen anyone hit anywhere near that on stockers. HEARD about it but never SEEN it. A lot of people on the east coast running 94 octane and tuned can do it, but not out here on 91 octane. At least not with a tune that will result in long motor life.

I think its possible but your setup needs to be perfect. You wont be able to do it if you cut any corners. I would adapt to the simplified seq setup then put a regulator on the seq vac system so that it only sees 10-11psi and doesnt damage check valves and solenoids. Run a little water/alky injection when over 13psi, have a great intercooler with low pressure drop, a ported engine, and if either a good high flowing exhaust or a pressure sensitive cutout, all of the ecu, fuel, ignition mods, and GOOD TUNING. You should be able to do it, I would like to see it happen so give it a shot. Most everyone running the BNR's at high pressure are doing so in non seq mode.

i just got my bnr3's tuned by steve kan earlier this april. i hit 318rwhp at 14psi w/o water injection. steve said i could of hit way more but i had a clogged hiflow cat. also talked to rich (goodfellas) cause these are his old turbos he sold to me and said that they should of been somewhere around 350 at 14psi. next time i get it tuned i'll try to have water inject, better intercooler, and resmidpipe and hopefully these will yield me better numbers

How are your BNRs holding up Stephen? I know you've had them for like 4 years now.
