High RPM Jolt, Help???
Right now I'am having a high RPM jolt. For some odd reason this only happens at in 3rd gear around 6k-7k rpm and is just 1 single jolt. It's like fuel cut but I don't think it is because if you keep the pedal pressed it keeps going after that.
My boost is a perfect 10-8-10 then towards the end of the RPM range it drops a psi or 2 like normal. I think it only happens in 3rd because I don't have too many stretches of road here to wined out 4th but have once and it didn't happen. This doesn't happen all the time, I'd say about 60% of the time. My gas tank is full when I'am doing this.
This is weirding me out. I personally think it might be the plugs need a change and will do them pretty soon. I change them about a year ago and they have around 12k miles on the plugs. I'am stumped on this one. My clutch is going by the way but tomorow I'am having a new S/S clutch and a RB fly put in, so I'll see. Any help guys?
*EDIT* Sorry, my mods are Dp, Gutted Main Cat, Cat Back, and K&N drop in.

sounds like fuel cut to me. my car did the same thing in the same gear at roughly the same rpm. it was showing about 10.5 psi on the gauge when it would happen and as you said, the car would immediately start accellerating again. i have a manual boost controller and turned the boost down just a hair and that eliminated the fuel cut. if you don't have a boost controller (you should with those mods) then get one and turn it down a little and see what happens.

Thank you I aprecieate it. I do have a boost controller, Profec-B. I fool with it a little. This just happened after I got rid of my air pump, who knew an air pump would give you a tiny bit more boost.
But like I said it is around 9 psi when it happens, either my gauge is off or something.

I have the same problem, happened when I swapped to all 9s. They were coppers, though. Only about 1K miles if that. I plan to pull them today. If they look ok, I am going back to 7s/9s, if not all platinum 9s.
