High oil temp on fresh rebuild and clutch problem, experts please!
Guys,
Just finished my first rotary rebuild, she started first turn of the key!!! wohoo!
Couple of problems though. First off, the oil seemed to get hot quite quick. It was fresh oil, and by the time my coolant was up to temp (on defi gauge) the oil was up to about 80 degrees (on defi gauge) is this normal? I assume its because everything is quite tight on a fresh rebuild, but help would be appreciated. I did the eccentric shaft bypass mod by putting a 10mm piece of thread in the end of the eccentric shaft lock bolt and removing the oil thermostat piston.
Second, i was driving around the block ,and all of a sudden my clutch pedal went straight to the floor, and stayed there. Thought id broke my clutch fork! Anyway, i wiggled it a little, and it popped back up and works fine again now. Felt like something snapped though, but clutch still works great? Do i need to adjust it? as its a new exedy uprated clutch disc and PP.
Thanks guys.

CONGRATS!!
check for leaks in the clutch line, and bleed again...
as far as your oil temp...I'm not sure, doesn't sound like an issue. oil and water should be roughly the same.
