Please help. I just finished installing a wide aluminum gas pedal cover and a dead pedal cover. I had the kick panel off to remove the dead pedal. Everything seemed to go smooth. I just went out for a ride and sometimes but not always, the idle will rise to 3K then go back down all by itself. I happens when the clutch is in, mostly coming to a stop, but it could also be related to the brakes, because the pedal also felt a little peculiar like the power was off, but this was intermittent also

 

OK for anyone reading this. It turns out my installation was perfect. The problem turned out to be a retarded operator with big feet (me!). I was occaisionally hitting the new wide gas pedal when I hit the brake. Heel and toe for me is really right side left side of big foot.
