Hey, I'm a new RX-7 owner

hey there RX-7'nr's, my name is Evan .

I'm the newest newbie here, and I'm probably posting in the wrong thread..

anyhow, I just got myself an all stock 1992 JDM RX-7.
I'm waiting until it gets here, another 50 days or so. .

I'm always interested in feedback, and suggestions regarding the RX-7, plus
I am a ***** for Carbon Fiber, and Monster Assault...

I'll be goin' to school soon to be a mechanic, cars are my passion. I've driven quite a few, Yaris 5spd, Acura TL auto, Nissan Sentra auto, Ford F-150 5spd, Honda Civic auto, Honda Prelude 5spd,..

I hope you are all friendly!

In Japan, they made 1992 FDs and FCs.

Nice car. Good luck. RTFM. And how the hell did you step from a bunch of economy cars and a pick up truck to a high end sports car? Shoulda got a Z32 or something.

hahahaha, anyone else have a crazy girlfriend/wife? or is there another thread for that???
Nah...most of us lose our girlfriends for the car.

Oh yeah, and CF is going to be a nice ugly waste of money for you.

There would be a different thread for that, probably in the "Lounge".

And you should get some FEED carbon fiber skirts, and take those ugly ones off of your car and sell them to me.

Not to make this thread off topic, but that was an actual decision I had to make. Easiest decision I've ever made in my life.

no, no, I have only personally owned a Nissan 240sx 5spd, and a Honda Civic Auto,
the rest are cars my parents and friends have owned/own!..

plus, Z32's are bunk... . . . no engine bay space, I do like Nissan, however the 180 is the only car I would own of theirs,.

Car > girlfriend!

I was joking about the domestic violence rants . . heh. Lounge though, thanks!.

and CF is just sexy. sorry to say it, but it is.

afterall, to all his own!

By the way, I've been reading alot and learning ALOT from this website.
it's amazing, I'm glad I heard about it!

I was saying the Z32 would have been a better stepping stone from an automatic honda civic to an RX-7.

To each their own, but most CF panels weigh as much as if not more than the stockers, and don't hold up nearly as well in an accident.

That's why I was saying it was a waste of money, the ugly part was just my opinion

oh, good god, I gave my dad $5000 to get me a "good car" because he knows a dude that works at Honda.

he spends $4000 on a 97' Civic Coupe,
AUTO, SOHC, NON VTEC, 280xxx KM's,

and expects me to sell it for $6000 after I "fix the brakes"
my dad is an idiot, and I'm never giving him a penny again.
he got owned, but, I got owned also inturn... crap.

but, yeah, RX-7 is an amazing car, I don't plan on pushing it beyond my own limits.
I plan on growing with the car more than anything.

^Ha, you don't "plan" on a lot of things... most people don't "plan" on the back end kicking out on them on dry pavement and running into trees, but it happens...

Last edited by MADDSLOW; 10-09-07 at 07:27 PM. Reason: "trees" has one "s", not fucking two...

that's true, with all due respect, I've been driving legally since I was 14,

I've never had an accident, or ticket, never stunted, or felt the urge to show off.

I'm 18 now, almost 19, and I like driving the limit, the car does the showing off for me as it's just sooo damn sexy!
