Hesitation/bucking, searched but no result found

i searched for about 2 hours last night in the archives i foudn the same similar prob but no fix posted. problem is at lets say 10-20% throttle under acceling normal right at 2k rpm i get a buck. like it's accels then kicks and proceeds on normal. every gear. but it's barely felt in 4th and 5th. i'm wondering if anyone ever figured out the problem with this? i saw alot of auto's got it. but mine is 5spd. i checked the vin... and as far as i know it's like that from the fac.

also after cruise if i let off the gas and put in neut. like stopping at a light. my idle hangs like at 900-1k. but if i tap the gas it'll come down to 650 where i set it. could it be the plunger thingy that's sticking on me? i've sprayed some carb cleaner all over the throttle plate to clean any gunk. wondering if anyone knows another way.

also... is carb cleaner same for out rotaries for vac leak checks? and sprayign in intake track for cleaning the intake system? thanks guys!

this happens in every gear everytime you shift or just once or twice a day?

this is a well talked about problem with rx7's usually occurs around 3k rpm, it can be fixed usually by adding a uprgraded electrical system or getting a power fc, my 7 does it sometimes but closer to 3 grand.

This will probably not solve your problem.

If you do a search on hesitation or bucking or surging , there should be a lot of threads related to the problem

i've searched with all those terms. all i found were 2 like mine on Automatics but no fix and the rest we're 3k rpm. which i don't have. i get it just driving. not "when" i shift or once in a while... it's every time my tach passess 2k it'll buck.

also i asked about the carb cleaner to fix my sticking idle and check for vac leaks. wondering if carb cleaner can be sprayed Into the To and around vac lines to check for leaks. just making sure it's not gonan hurt my 13b i want it to last. currently d/ling and printing the mazda manual =-)

check all of your grounds, before my rebuild i would get that shudder around 2400-3000 rpm's in most gears once i upgraded my grounds it completely went away. b

If you switch to the pfc, it should remove both the 2k and 3k hesitation.

I personally had the 2k (and once in a while the 3k)

lil red posted the fix in your thread, and the fix is also mentioned in the thread I posted. Everyone has different opinions. Some think its an electrical problem. I personally think that the stock ecu is rubbish and the car is cutting fuel at certain levels of throttle.

Its not really a shudder. Its bucking- car surges (sometimes violently) forward and back or hesitation - the car feels like it goes into fuel cut

yea that's excatly what i feel pos7. <-- haha nice name. it's like if it fuel cuts. then a split second later it's fine. all the way to redline. i'm printing out the whole 93 service manual like i said stil... but i'ma check all the ground points i can find with it and make some new one see if that'll help. but i will get a pfc regardless =-)

thanks for the replies
