Heres how I fixed my ignition problem..NOW car wont turn over
Ok if anyone read my previous thread I had a serious ignition problem. When I would go to turn the key off I could take out the key and everything was still running. So what I did was I took off the rusted end that connects to the negative battery, than cut the wire and put on a new terminal head. Now the ignition works great, but car will not start at all. When I turn it to acc theirs a loud click, then when I go to turn it on nothing, but after I turn key and let go their are two kind of quite clicks. I tried jumping it from my corvette but that did not work, and I also re-charged the battery earlier in the day. I am completly clueless and I need this on the road ASAP, as its my daily driver. If anyone could help, it would be so greatly appreciated, I dunno if its the starter though as it clicks on acc and has those 2 quite clicks when it tries to turn over? Im not sure, thats assuming thats where the clicks are coming from.

Maybe a bad ignition switch or loose wires on it. Also check al the fuses.
It is some type of electrical/mechanical problem. Break it down into related parts and start checking. You-all need to learn how to trouble shoot systems.

Sounds like your car got confused for a sec and thought it had a turbo timer

i fixed the problem with the key, before i would put it on acc than turn it off and take the key out, and all the lights from the acc position were still on. THan i put that new cap on the negative lead, and when I put it on acc and turn it off, it works and everything turns off. But now the car WONT turn over at all, theirs a loud click when I turn to acc, than when i try to start it, let it go their are 2 very small faint clicks?

Your problem is obviously with the ignition switch and not the battery terminals. The fact that futzing with the terminals did anything is pure coincidence.
I'd drop the column and replace the switch.

Buy a new one from a dealer or buy a used one from someone parting out a car. You will waste a lot of time trying to fix it, and will probably end up buying one anyway.
