Hello I just bought a 93 Rx-7 here is a few problems I am running into. When you drive the car for awhile let it cool down for a few min to let the turbo's cool then shut it off it will not restart unless it sits for awhile. Next problem the car hesitates Bad then entire way through the rpm's , BUT if you get on it and then back off on the gas a little the car takes off???? So letting off my gas pedal seems to let my car run 100%.By the way it's a 93 Touring with Auto, engine is spotless no oil leaks .Next and final problem the temp goes to 1/2 way after car warms up but it doens't blow heat just luke warm, even when the car is sitting still only luke warm . The a/c works great and I hear the motor for the door that moves back and forth to let heat and cold it in .

Did you check for an error code? What about a tune up? plugs, fuel filter, wires. I hate to to mention this but it sounds like you might need to have your compression checked. It could be something else but low compression motors don't like to start when there warm and will sometimes stall at idle especially if your running the AC.
I have the same problem with the heater and know a few others with it also, we suspect the heater core valve is not openning all the way. My car heats up just enough so that I don't freeze in the winter but it never gets really hot. From what I am told replacing this valve is a Royal PITA, perhaps some one here can shed more light on heater core repairs for the FD?
