help with wiring harness

While replacing thermoswitch, I came across a blue wiring harness that was not hooked up to anything located behind the water pump. I know this is vague but does anyone know what this should be hooked up to?

Mine has the same harness and it's not hooked up to anything if it is the one I'm thinking about.

It is for the EGR on Cali cars, dont worry.

I think it is for the thermo switch for an auto.
