Help! Water Leak Pictures

I originally thought my leak was from my water pump so I replaced that but its still leaking. I looks like from the one nut below the water pump, i'm not really sure what it is so I attached some pictures.

My leak 93 touring

I too had a diificult to find leak. First the water level sensor leaked on a manual( squeezing upper radiator hose) test. Repaired. Then about the water pump ( replaced) following a formal pressure test. I'lll let you know what happens. I am going to replace all rubber hoses in the cooloing system next.

umm bro please tell me you replaced the gasket between the engine to the waterpump housing.
Just go ahead and start taking that off now if not...

If that's not it the next logical place to look is where the rubber line comes off the top back of the waterpump housing to the metal hardline that runs under the throttle body. See if thats cracked at all.

Either from the water pump still, or from behind the water pump housing. That's about it, man, unless it's getting blown back on there from some hose up front. It's a bitch to pull that back off, too. Did you replace the spacers behind the housing when it was off? IF you forget those, the housing will sit sideways and the drivers side will not seal well.

I've never taken off the whole water pump housing, i jus took off the water pump, and replaced the gasket. I don't think its leaking from the water pump thought but i'll double check.

uuuhhh...

Here, he asked:

He's referring to the gasket BEHIND the water pump HOUSING...which is the aluminum part behind the water pump itself. It mates to the front of the block. To which, you replied:

yes I changed the gasket
Perhjaps you meant the water pump gasket, and not the water pump HOUSING gasket that is behind all this? If not, then that is likely where the leak is. Water could be leaking down from behind there, and you're seeing it under the waterpump. IT's a very hard leak to diagnose, and no fun to fix.

Thanks RR haha!

Here's how to do it it kinda sucks

remove the thermostat housing so you can access a couple of the waterpump bolts easier

remove the waterpump again...dont ruin your new gasket take it out evenly off of the long studs so it doesnt tear

remove the black stabilizer for the alternator and the alternator

Next the waterpump housing wont come out unless you remove the tensoiner for the accessory belt...or at least I couldn't get it out without doing that
thats a 17mm bolt on the pulley

I think that's it

let us know if you need some more guiding through the process

we are pretty sure that is your leak
