Question Help with sound Vid Included!!

This sound is bugging me and I cannot figure out what it is. If anyone can give me a lending hand I would greatly appreciate it.

First a little background on the sound.
It isnt present when i first start the car and for say... 5-10 mins. But once the car warms up fully and has been driven for a few it starts to do the 'ticking'. It comes from the drivers side of the engine near the alternator/uim. I have looked over all of the vac. hoses etc.. and I do not find anything that leaks, and besides wouldn't it do it all the time if it was? Also it doesn't affect my vac. idle or anything. And lastly it increases with rpms.

If anyone can provide me with some tips on where to look and what could be causing it... I have run out of ideas!

Sorry if its hard to make out in the video... Full exhaust + Garage makes for not the best place to hear things lol!!

Thanks for your time,
Mitch

i dont know much about these engines but could you try and run the engine for a 30 seconds with no belts attached.this would then narrow it down to the alternator, powersteering pump etc.. oh..it could be the alternator brushes..soz if this is no help but it aint really a bad idea.

Try disconnecting the air pump connector and listening. Worth a shot.

Sounds a LOT like a spark plug wire that's bad - you'll get electricity arcing out of a pinhole in the wire to ground. Of course, this is on $3 computer speakers here at work .

How old are your wires?

feel the pcv valve. is it rattling? it does seem like a spark tick. is it miss firing? pulling the belts is a good idea also. if it is up by the coils it would be a good time to wrap your aws also!
