While my car is sitting at Ricks waiting to install new/rebuilt motor I thought I would pretty up some pieces and get them polished....intercooler, AST, intake box, intake pipes, throttle body, UIM, smog pump, and alternator. PS let me know if I missed anything!! QUestion is this....HOW DO I GET THE BACK COVER OF THE ALTERNATOR OFF? I removed the front cover fine but can't lift the armature or brush assembly out.
HELP.
Thanks!
PS:
Other stuff I'm doing;
SR radiatior
SR lightened flywheel package
3 mm seals
new turbo cartridge for primary
HKS twin power ignition
Mazdaspeed short shifter
new coolant hoses and re-plumb rats nest
cosmo fuel pump/ enlarged secondaries to 1250
Street port

any other stuff or suggestions I could benefit from please feel free to let me know!!!

I'm polishing some parts too, but I haven't done the UIM throttle body and the alternator yet.
You can also polish the water pump and the water filler neck. (I polished the LIM TB too, you can polish it if you want to but not really visible)
I think to take the back of the alternator off, you got to melt the solder that connects the stator wire and the back bracket. Watch out as too much heat can damage it.
