Help please. New motor, some issues.
Got the motor finally running today, my stock temp gauge is pegged, but the PFC readout was 62 degrees C, and the thermostat still hasn't opened. Is there something I'm doing wrong here? Any advice would be great.

Ok, so I guess the reason the gauge was reading so high was I had a lot of air in the system, when I pulled the cap it had a lot of steam coming out. Anything else I could be doing wrong?

Try this procedure next time you filling up your cooling system:
1.disconnect the coolant hose that goes from the back of the block(rear endplate)
to the throttle body.
2.Remove the filler cap and fill the system as much as you can.leave the filler cap
off
3.run your garden hose low and fill the system again from the block to throttle
body hose until coolant starts coming up the front filler neck, you will see the air bubbles being pushed up and out of the engine wait until theres no more air bubbles coming thru, put cap back on and drive gently till operating temp.recheck level when it has cooled down, but you will most likely notice the level is almost perfect as most of the air bubbles was pushed out of the engine.Works well for me.

Well tomarrow I'm going to attach a funnel to the filler neck, fill then funnel full of coolant and allow the car to warm up with the cap off. This supposivly eliminates all air bubbles, etc, from the system. I have the tb coolant removal mod done so thats not an issue.
Thanks! Any more advice would be great heh.

Ok.. burped the system! Everything is going much smoother now. Drove it around a bit, still have some air in the system though. Hopefully over a few days it will clear itself out.
